Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Blocs Finance handles personal information when you visit our website, create an account, sign in with Google, or use our currency exchange and related services.

Who operates Blocs Finance

Blocs Finance is operated by Blocs Finance Ltd., the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Blocs Finance website and application. In this policy, “Blocs Finance,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Blocs Finance Ltd. We provide currency exchange and related services to customers across supported markets, including Nigeria, the United States of America, Ghana, Canada, Russia, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

For privacy questions, complaints, or requests concerning your personal information, contact our privacy team directly at admin@blocsfinance.app. You may also reach us through Help & Support inside the app after signing in.

Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal information processed through the Blocs Finance website at blocsfinance.app, the Blocs Finance application, customer-support channels, and communications we send to you. It covers visitors, prospective customers, account holders, and incognito wallet users.

This policy does not apply to third-party websites, payment pages, or services that we do not control, even if you reach them from our service. Those services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

Account information you provide: name, email address, phone number, country of residence, profile details, security PIN, and identity-verification information such as date of birth and verification documents where required by law.

Financial and transaction information: currencies, amounts, quotes and rate locks, payment status, bank account details you link, beneficiary information, funding references, and the records needed to complete, settle, and audit an exchange, deposit, withdrawal, savings plan, investment request, or loan application.

Technical and security information: device type, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from network information, IP address, sign-in activity, session and remembered-device records, security events, and diagnostic logs. We use this to protect accounts, detect unusual activity, and keep the service reliable.

Support information: the questions, messages, and attachments you send to customer support or our in-app assistant, and the conversation history we keep so you can return to previous answers.

Google sign-in data

If you choose Continue with Google, Blocs Finance requests only the openid, email, and profile permissions. Google provides the basic account information you authorize: your name, email address, profile image, and a unique Google account identifier. We use this information only to create or identify your Blocs Finance account, sign you in, display your profile, prevent unauthorized access, and provide account support.

Blocs Finance does not receive your Google password. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not allow humans to read it except when necessary to provide support at your request, protect the service against abuse, comply with applicable law, or operate the service through providers bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We store only the Google account fields described above and do not combine them with data from advertising or analytics products. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts; provide wallets and currency exchanges; calculate, display, and lock quotes; receive and settle payments; process deposits and withdrawals; maintain transaction history and receipts; review savings, investment, and loan requests; invite team members; and provide customer support.

We also use information to verify identity where required; prevent fraud, money laundering, and abuse; enforce rate limits and account limits; protect customers; investigate disputes and chargebacks; comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; measure and improve reliability; and maintain auditable financial records.

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. Application outcomes (for example, loan or product requests) are reviewed by a person before approval or rejection.

Legal bases for processing

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal information: to perform our contract with you (providing the account and completing exchanges you request); to comply with legal obligations (identity verification, financial record-keeping, anti-money-laundering controls); for our legitimate interests (securing accounts, preventing fraud, improving the service), balanced against your rights; and with your consent where required (for example, optional features you choose to enable). You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already performed.

Cookies and similar technologies

Blocs Finance uses only the cookies and local storage needed to operate the service: keeping you signed in, remembering your security session and trusted devices, and protecting sign-in and payment flows from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics trackers on our website.

When we share information

We share information only as needed with payment and banking partners that complete your transactions; identity-verification and fraud-prevention providers; hosting, database, and email infrastructure providers that operate the service under contract; professional advisers; and regulators, courts, or authorities where legally required. These recipients receive only the information needed for their role and must handle it securely under confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with advertisers or data brokers. If our business is reorganized, merged, or transferred, information may move with the service subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards, and we will update this policy or notify you where required.

Retention and deletion

We keep account profile information, including Google sign-in data, while your account remains active. We keep transaction and identity-verification records for as long as required by applicable financial, anti-money-laundering, tax, dispute, and audit obligations — typically between five and seven years after a transaction closes, depending on the jurisdiction. Security and diagnostic logs are retained for a shorter period appropriate to their fraud-prevention purpose, and support conversations are kept while they remain useful to you and us.

You may request account and personal-data deletion at any time through Help & Support in the app or by emailing admin@blocsfinance.app from your registered email address. We may verify your identity before acting. We will delete or de-identify data that is no longer required and confirm completion, while clearly identifying any records we must retain by law or to protect customers and completed transactions.

You can also revoke Blocs Finance’s access from the third-party connections page in your Google Account (myaccount.google.com/connections). Revoking access stops future Google sign-in data access but does not by itself delete your Blocs Finance account; email admin@blocsfinance.app or use Help & Support to request deletion.

Security

We protect personal information with encrypted connections, access controls, row-level data restrictions that keep each customer’s records separate, rate limiting and temporary lockouts on sign-in, session controls with the ability to review and revoke active devices, optional two-factor authentication, and audit records of sensitive administrative actions. No service can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect your device and never share your PIN, password, one-time code, or incognito recovery key.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information; to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR; residents of certain U.S. states and other jurisdictions have similar rights under local law.

To exercise any of these rights, use Help & Support in the app or email admin@blocsfinance.app. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we respond within the period required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

International processing

Blocs Finance supports transactions across multiple countries, so information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our infrastructure and payment partners operate. Where required, we use contractual, organizational, and technical safeguards — such as standard contractual clauses — for these transfers.

Children’s privacy

Blocs Finance is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us through Help & Support or admin@blocsfinance.app so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and show a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app before they take effect.

Email admin@blocsfinance.app for privacy questions, complaints, access, correction, export, or deletion requests. You can also open Blocs Finance and use Help & Support after signing in.
